What would you do in this situation? Watch the whole thing.

- Nick and his wife just got married last year. They didn't take a honeymoon because they are working on paying off their $97,000 in debt.
- Nick's wife got invited to a wedding in Italy in June. The wife and the bride have been "best friends" for 4 - 5 years.
- For both of them it will cost $6000 for flights... NOT including accommodations (4 days minimum), dresses, tuxedos, etc.

Man this is why divorces happen - differences in opinion on how money should be used. I get that the wife and bride are friends, but I think it's ridiculous to spend that much to fly out to a wedding in this economy :gucci:
I agree with the man that's talking here because you have to think about the debt and the marriage. Still a bad situation overall :whoa:

People can learn a thing or two from the Asians.

Money is a whole lot of fake numbers. What’s another 10K on top of the 90K.

You can go Wifey if it’s that important. I’m chillin. The Bride should understand if her girl declines. It’s hard out here in these streets.

How much do they make as a couple? 90k in debt, but what's the debt breakdown?

She ain't a best friend after only 4-5 years. You got to be a childhood friend for me to even consider participating in a destination wedding.

All that said, I was surprised to hear the lady giving more sensible advice than the man in this scenario. Why would we drop several thousands of dollars to go to someone else's wedding when we decided we couldn't even spare that for our own honeymoon?

They could be sowing the seeds for a divorce by making the decision to go anyway.

Nothing wrong with saying 'I can't afford to do that.'

:manny:
Even if it’s a lie lol. Got invited to Jamaica for a wedding of a random cousin. We can afford it but if we going somewhere like that it’s for us to enjoy, not for no damn wedding. Hit them with the shxt tight right now. Will give a good gift and call it a day.
