AFter watching WCW 2000 over the summer it’s not out of the question GOLDBerg could beat Steiner. Goldberg was easily more athletic, fluid, and stronger than Steiner by then.

Steiner and Goldberg had great chemistry, you could see it even in 98-99. They should’ve ran that as a top feud way earlier. Their matches and presences had a realnesd and physicality that WWFs top guys couldn’t duplicate and it might’ve drawn some viewers over or at least kept some.

If WCW had stayed in business, the supposed planned main event for Starrcade 2001 would've been Goldberg challenging Steiner for the title which means WCW was actually thinking ahead for once. It was too little, too late though. Alas.

Steiner was an NCAA wrestler, i.e a real wrestler. Goldberg dont want that smoke after what Irvine did to him.

Michigan Steiner would beat Goldberg, but he was pretty broken down in 2000 despite his physique. He didn't move that well and wasn't as strong as Goldberg, plus former NFL linemen get into HW MMA and get some wins all the time. Goldberg had a shot.

Nikka, Steiner wins. Broken or not, grappling is technique.
