I'm... I'mma go with attempted murder. As someone who had given a shoot DDT during a fight and then ended up administering first aid on the victim until first responders showed up... yeah, the flying hug just ain't hitting the same.

Spear is actually still used as a finisher while the DDT has practically been a regular move for decades now. But the Spear is so dependent on who does it and a proper DDT just looks effective so DDT it is.
