They always just seemed like corny Power Ranger Megazord battles to me so I never bothered.

Atleast watch the first one. It's a solid movie that grounds godzilla well, before the vs. flicks.

People always think " Godzillas' s a children's flick." and I'm just like Just watch that one scene in the in the original in which Godzilla is approaching a house with a woman and her two kids (boy and girl) and she says "Rest well, children. Godzilla is here. We'll soon be with daddy." and then he crushes the building.

Later we see the little girl survived (the boy's status unknown) but we see the mom's passing seconds and the child cried over her body.

Not a kid's flick at all.
