I'm currently going through a life insurance situation (don't ask details, as I wont provide them) and the pay off is ~1.4million. This relative died at 31.
Depends on your policy but it can go very far for those who love you.

I’m not asking you about this personal insurance situation. But I do think that the OP can be used as a preventive, learning opportunity for brehs & brehettes.

That being said, what life policies would you recommend for 20 yo...30+ yo? I called my insurance provider a few months ago & found out that there’s a life insurance policy that’s a hybrid of term & whole life insurance. Any thoughts? I’m asking for myself as I have a deadline to upgrade my own insurance in the near future.

If you can, I recommend a small whole life policy while your young (50-100k) so that as you get older, you'll always have "bury me money" and accumulate cash value (like a savings account after 2 years with interest rates always around 4%). I would then supplement the whole life coverage with term policy to get up to minimum amount of coverage calculated in post 74

How long is that going to last?
I don't think they're trying to maintain their lifestyle, they will probably have to downgrade and move somewhere more affordable

you dont know that to be factual and ill say this one more time. Life insurance is a suppliant to the loss of income for most families. it is not the absolute replacement especially for a man wit 4 kids all with tuition who reside in Brooklyn, New York. thanks for your speculation though.

They can get jobs, student loans and move to a cheaper neighborhood like the rest of us then.

You right, I am going hard. As someone who values protecting the culture, what Combat did meant a lot that me and i feel like those of us that appreciate him should do what we can.
