You don't know that. They could drop to 5.

Even after the championship games, you could still have an FSU, OSU, Auburn, Mizzou lineup.

The committee still makes the decision. They'd probably keep Bama out because they didn't make the championship game.

there is the possibility that the big 12 or pac 12 champ could jump them for the 4th spot but theres certainly a case to put alabama in over both of them. id have to no problem if they were steadfast on the conference champions getting first dibs as long as we aint talking about say a 3 loss conference champ getting in over a 1 loss non conference champ that has a better resume. it would be a lot easier on the committee if they had an 8 team playoff with automatic spots to the 4 highest ranked conference champs and 4 at large bids. as is with 4 teams they just need to use a little common sense.

They need to get rid of the conference championship games In order for the playoff to make sense. You can't have teams sitting at home while others are risking their title hopes in a conference championship game. In this situation Bama would be rewarded for sitting at home and Auburn/Mizzou would get screwed for having to play the extra game..

Tell me how that makes sense :heh:

Someone between Missouri and auburn will lose

They move up

This.

But the SEC is overrated now. They had their run but Texas A&M and Mizzou came over from the weak ass Big 12 and have held their own.

Bama would probably make it off the fact they're the defending champs and only have 1 loss, to an SEC division winner or better, on the road, in a rivalry game and on one of the most amazing plays in the history of the sport.

It would be a travesty if they didn't have one of those 4 hypothetical spots. I'm kinda mad they lost because I believe they're one of the top 2 teams in CFB.

Moral to the story, if you're gonna lose, lose early so you still have a chance. :pachaha:
