Going on business travel to...Oakland

I'm picking out my hotel for my stay in Oakland later this month. I want to be close to a BART station to head over to SF after work. What areas should I stay clear off so I don't end up looking like

That area been revitalized , hipsters have moved in, you should be straight

they got some nightlife poppin in them bars on Broadway

check out tha Emeryville shopping center nearby (next to IKEA)

if you have more time definitely cross that new bay bridge into Frisco

Ya check out Emeryville like he said..it's right next to Oakland..they got a few new hotels and it's nice over there..they got a nice outside shopping area and AMC..google it
