New Orleans lives off big events like this. Tourism is the only real industry down there, they not in the business of fukking that cash cow up by having tourists get jacked. Plain clothes NOPD gonna be everywhere, walking around 2-3 deep and on horses and shyt. And undercover NOPD gonna be just as deep too. That shyt overall is gonna be real safe. Yeah New Orleans is rough but you can see (or hear) the locals coming from a mile away, they not slick at all down there, they on the strong arm tip, finesse aint something they do in the NO. If you got any amount of street smarts you'll be fine. And if anyone says that the French Quarter is anymore dangerous than any other big tourist area then they are blowing smoke. Been to New Orleans more times than I can count in the hood and the tourist area and I never had a problem.
