Good career for school dropout with criminal record?

I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing. But I need a career instead of these temp jobs. I do have a record wih violent crimes and no school qualifications.

What about landscaping like gardening or working outdoors? Like a tree surgeon or something? Maybe I want to do something like that. I tried bricklaying and plastering but they weren't for me.

Am I allowed back in school with a record? Like a community college?

My friend was a dropout, became a convicted felon (drugs). got an apprenticeship to become an electrician, took some classes, got licensed. After a few years opened up his own electrical company. He prolly clears 400-500k now.
