Everyone I know that...."obtains things"....got hit with letters shortly after getting Google Fiber. And they've never gotten even one warning prior to that.

So make of that what you will.

Bet, just asking because I'm about to have At&t gigapower installed this weekend. I opted out of that "internet preferences" bullshyt. I've never had a notice from Comcast in all the years I've had them. Just wondering if they are like google fiber with the copyright bullshyt.

Encrypt, use a VPN, obfuscate at the router level if you must using something like tor for OpenWRT firmware. Lots of options.
