Behold A Dark Horse.

in another thread i had RR2 as my album of the year and Behold A Dark Horse like 4th i think but i was looking for the Curren$y Tidal podcast interview on youtube and ended up putting Roc Marciano's Car Test on with Elliot Wison for BADH and its crazy how hearing the album being played in a car while on youtube made me love it even more.

also, i need to ask, Planet Asia.....twice ?

:hhh:

last time i went out of my way to listen to this guy about ten years ago he still couldn't make a good album to save his life
now youre telling me he has two contenders for album of the year ?

Daytona. Maybe because it's so succinct but that shyt hits and hits hard. There's no fat on the bone. All of the verses get to be extremely focused and thought out, the beats all compliment each other, and there's no moment of :snooze:

Daytona has stayed with me more than any album this year

I'm surprised Fetti is winning this poll.

It's in my top 5 favorite projects of this year, and I know this board loves it, but IMO it's almost hard for me to consider it fully a goon album. Gibbs makes some of the best goon music there is, no doubt. Gibbs' raps particularly on here (especially joints like Willie Lloyd, Location Remote, and Tapatio) are A-1 level goon material. But Currensy is half of the album and he's on that lifestyle music vibe.

Not mad at it getting votes at all, but I'm surprised it's getting more votes than Behold a Pale Horse or Tana Talk 3.

Also dope to see Daytona on here. Push did a good job of keeping the goonery alive and well in the mainstream.

:jbhmm: tough poll
