I work for a bank call center, its a cool place to work depending on the company but remember its not what you know but who you know My advice is to stick it out for a year at least get some contacts that can put you on better jobs, If that doesn't work for you then bounce, I been at my job for 6 years and I make good money but I had to go thought a lot of shyt and learn the game.

Heard it's a sucky job but you can make good money doing a lot of overtime and can also raise up the corporate ladder as you say.

Heard it also got hella bad chicks in there too, but you wanna be careful with that.

I never worked at one. But I know a few people who did.

To keep it short: it's fukking trash. I wouldnt recommend it unless you absolutely need the money.

I'm a call center veteran, burn out is real. , I don't know the industry but be expected to be working your whole 8-10 hour shift with as little as less than 30 seconds between call. For some people this can be overwhelming day after day and exhausting, for others it is nothing because you can easily get a groove and just talk your ass off. I can easily tell you the work environment is bullshyt and most people dont make it past a year but I don't know you or the type of call center you work so I will say if you need the job, stay the fukk away from negative people, there is always negative nancys who complain every day/ Good luck and dont take anything personal, the moment u start getting emotional at work the quicker you are out of there

Im doing help desk now

Its coo

I get to have my phone out and get my own desk

Help desk is a little different cause atleast you get to put in tickets and escalate the ticket to tier 2 or 3 support.

Customer service jobs. You gotta answer questions and if it's recorded you gotta tell the truth if you have a manager that does quality monitoring

My job still records calls but they no longer do random qa's.

A lot of jobs are "technically" a call center. But it's a huge difference between a customer service/collections position, and a underwriter or loan officer making a high salary with flexible hours.

My previous position before my promotion was Human Capital Management for national/international accounts. Most of it was on the phone but it was 55-60 a year.

shyt there are some IT cert call centers that you basically go into a clients computer and fix their shyt from home making way more money than that.

All call centers are not alike. But if you got it with one interview and most your coworkers are bullshytting it’s a inbound call center for CSR

If you like thots this is the place they be at.
