Coli mechanics, how do I fix this? Went to a tire shop, they couldn’t do it, recommended me go to a welder…I called a diff welder, this dude wasn’t fasho that he could do it and scared he may damage the rim

Called some name brand tire shops, they talkin about 3 hun:scust:

What’s y’all’s opinion? I’m not spending 300 for this shyt and I need it off so I can change the tire

I seen a video where dude broke the lug nut using sheer force, I may try that

If you break off the lug nuts, you'll probably break the stud. You're probably gonna have to take apart the entire brake assembly on the wheel to replace the lug nut stud. I'd just pay 300 bucks rather than dealing with that.

Find the grimiest mechanic shop you can. The other reputable shops don’t wanna waste their time so they’ll over charge.

If it's a situation where there's an aluminum cap over the lug nut base that's spinning, I've seen people hammer on a socket slightly smaller than the lug and torque it off. Or you could pry off the lug nut cap and there's usually a smaller sized hex or square base underneath it.:manny:

if the cap's really chewed up, bend a piece of scrap metal so it'll fit under the lug nut and shield the rest of wheel, then take a torch to it

tbh this kind of thing is so annoying that i'd happily pay the 300 even though i have all the tools to do it already

It’s not the cap, it’s internal
