I do, but I had used my discount on my contacts in september and apparently I had to wait a year to do it again. Least thats what they said.

some place called Visionworks right next to were I got my exam at. I know I could get like really cheap frames but my lenses would still be a lot. I already explained why I didnt use my vision insurance

I paid about 500 for mine earlier this year. I have an astigmatism so it's special lens. Plus they're also anti reflective and turn into sunglasses when in the sun. Also doesn't help that they're Polo. I can't do contacts unfortunately.

Well, they make cheaper frames and lenses.
1. Beggars can't be choosers. Look around at the cheap frames. They can be as good as the high-end frames without the fancy brand name.
2. Just get plain polycarbonate lenses. Don't add UV coatings or anti-scratch coating or choose high-index or HD lenses. That brings the price of the lenses down. High-index might be worth it if you have a high-prescription though. Even then, you can match it with an inexpensive frame.

The sales people are there to max out on profits but nothing is stopping you from choosing the cheapest frame and lens combination. Shop around. You don't have to buy at one eyeglass store. Check out other ones, the selection may be better.
