Thompson isn't necessarily that great of a rebounder, he's just a great OFFENSIVE rebounder. Kevin Love is definitely a better rebounder than him, and LeBron is a better rebounder than him when he turns it up (during the Finals/playoffs).

Thompson does a lot of stuff well that isn't going to be replaceable, and won't really be noticeable until he's actually gone.
