What does this even mean. Articulate it for me brehs.
The song was blowing the fukk up before the label did anything. It's a perfect example of Atlantic being sleep at the wheel while one of their artists released a smash hit; the other big example was Uzi's XO Tour Lif3. She's huge right now, whether people like it or not. The song was dominating clubs BEFORE the button got pushed, it was moving everywhere before that.
It really seems like a lot of people here don't talk to women or go to clubs, because there's this constant nonsense about labels making things happen and blah blah blah...when if you were paying attention last year you saw that song blow up the minute it dropped, and it kept going and going. Then when the label got non-ratchet white girls to hear it, it was a top 10 radio smash.

Cardi is funny, cardi is charasmaitic, cardi is NOT a talent musician in any way. I fukked with her last mixtape only because i thought she'd be improving from there. She doesnt have her own flow, style, she's the poor man's nicki. THE LABEL, Atlantic, will drop her like a fat bytch on a saturday once this hype dries up. I have friends who work in that building on 6th ave.................. part of Cardi's blow up (besides her ghostwritten hit, which will never be topped) was that she was the underdog, the people are beginning to turn on her and miss Nicki... honestly shes the best thing that happen for Nicki, she's the stunt double. Nicki just needs to execute
But to answer your question, the label puts artists in positions, award shows, ect, it's their job. Otherwise an indepenent artist would be doing the same thing. Not even Caclamore could do this.
