Yeah
In a new article GQ slams Dr. Dre as dad rap.

"Unassailable production? Check. A bunch of happily married family men, from Cube to Snoop, openly fantasizing about obliterating their enemies, but doing so in such a way that the threats feel benign? Double check. Crunchy electric guitar chords layered so thick it puts Phil Spector to shame? Check, check, and check. Compton is the rap equivalent of a post-2000s Springsteen album: exquisitely crafted and widely digestible, but it's not what we're gonna remember him for." www.gq.com/s.....ial_facebook

I don't get this line of thinking from you guys. If you are hip hop head and you're paid by a publication to write an opinion piece or editrorial. Where it's publish don't mean shyt if you know the music and the art form(no matter your color). So of you dudes on hip hop forums think just because you post in these forums you have more credibility and I beg to differ. I look at you the same way I look at people who write for these publications and that look is well that's your opinion.

Heres the funny part....

If Dre put out a gangsta rap record he would sound stupid for being 50 and trying to be young. So he makes an album for grown men because hes pushing 50 and it's grandpa rap.

To me the raps are relatable to anyone who isn't living a fantasy rapper/gangsta lifestyle 247 but hey, I am not a culture vulture writer up at GQ.
