I just walk out and get lunch. I dont ask anyone to get me anything, even when they are going to a place where I want to eat. I just go and if I see them there its whatever. I wouldnt mind doing it every now and then but it seems like there is no in between with them. And since they harass people so much that dont go ever, I can imagine what its like if you go every now and then.

Im confused as fukk and i work in an office. Do coworkers typically ask you to get them lunch? I understand when they ask you to go to lunch with them (which I'm still like fukk that) but why would they ask you to get shyt for them. Don't they get the same lunch hour you got why they think you going to get they shyt for them?

i hope everyone talmbout eating lunch in their cars, and not going to lunch with co-workers is some kind of job worker, and not a career worker.

no hate, but if you think that when you are up for a promotion, someone actually says "lets promote him, he eats lunch alone in his car every day" then you are sorely mistaken

if there are literally no social aspects of your job, more power to you. keep eating in the car and asking people for 17 cents. but if there are any social aspects to your job, and you plan on advancing, i would say you wanna do the exact opposite.

I've been promoted 4 times in 7 years but I hear what you are saying. Im actually fairly social but I don't go into the deep details of my home life like my coworkers They talk about infertility, kids on drugs, in law issues etc. and I just kinda fall back. Honestly I think they are just trolling me now with the lunch thing...kinda like when people rub Adrian Beltre's head. I was serious about the change though.

No doubt he is right, but you just have to gauge the environment I guess. I don't see most of them staying in the line of work we are in very long and promotions haven't been a problem thus far. Im not super social anyway so if it came down to it and I got passed over because of it, I wouldn't be upset.

It usually happens when the meetings align around lunch...once a month or so, but they mainly ask other coworkers now because they know Im not into all that group stuff. But when it happens its really annoying because of the custom orders. I cant be dealing with peoples allergies and taste buds.

Dude you are not making any sense. You said u lie to them and tell them you brought lunch, whenever they ask for you to get them something (or if you're going out to lunch). So how is it that after you lie to them you are able to get out of the office and sneak lunch without them calling out your lie?

They know I lie, but I lie anyway. Im not sneaking around, its not that serious. Every now and then I do it (every 3 months) and they celebrate like its a holiday
