DDP is that dude :myman:

Jake needs a job on creative or something, dude's brain is swagged out

Heel Jake Roberts should be required study for "bad ass" type of heels. Jake rarely yelled and was menacing as hell and if he did yell it was an "oh shyt!!" moment. I hope dude seriously gets his shyt together this time and gets the proper induction/legend treatment. Its crazy that dude is still alive at times.

Dude to me is the greatest promo guy of all time. In an era where 99% of promos were simply nikkas on steroids shouting at the tops of their voices about how they "WERE GONNA KICK [wrestler's] ASS!" he was the 1% that never raised his voice, and if he did, shyt was going down. He KNEW that it was a lot more menacing to be calm, cool, and force the listener to pay attention to what he was saying. Had that vocabulary game on point as well, Jake ain't dumbing his shyt down for nobody. All of this, added together, meant that Jake Roberts was damn near the gulliest motherfukker of his (or any) era.

Jake understood heel psychology better than anybody, and that less can be more when it comes to intimidating promos.

I don't want to see an in-ring comeback. The man is 57 and that's just too old to be wrestling. But I'm glad to hear anything positive about his health and I would obviously love to see him involved in WWE creative.

After seeing that vid of the guy who did DDP yoga and walked again if he can get Jake back in shape I might have to get on that program. DDP is a god.

Well, that lasted long

We noted before that WWE Legend Jake "The Snake" Roberts was moving in with Diamond Dallas Page on Monday. The plan is for DDP to use his yoga program to help get Roberts back in shape for one more run in the ring.

Roberts was booked for an independent show in La Marque, Texas on Saturday night for the Coastal Wrestling Federation where he was set to face a wrestler named Johnny Blade. According to fans in attendance, Roberts had been drinking and got upset when he felt his opponent was getting too much attention, more than Roberts himself.

Roberts reportedly confronted Blade during a mid-show promo in the ring. The story goes that Roberts ordered a confused referee to the ring, hit Blade in the head and then fell on top of him for a quick, sloppy pin. Roberts then reportedly walked straight from the ring to his car and left.

There were about 300 fans in attendance and the promoter issued an apology for Roberts' action.

Really curious about this DDP yoga program. Anyone try it? Some of these dudes in their 40s looking better than they ever did (sans-Ocean.)
