"From the Studio that brought you GTA Trilogy The Definitive Edition." is not a quote you wanted associated with you and your game if you're trying to entice people in giving a fukk about your new IP.

:skip:
That being said. I'll check it out, if not just to pay my gaming pennance for playing ExoPrimal WAY more than I should have

I think Rockstar removed them from the credits when they took over patching the collection:patrice:

Rockstar shouldn't have gave an already failing studio, who fukked up the mobile ports of the same game, the job to do such a massive task with not one but THREE titles in such a short period of time. That's all on Rockstar and the results showed it 'cause I pirated it early days and 'seent' how bad that AI toolkit fukked shyt up.
I'm more mad at the fact that they delisted the original PS2 games in order to make this "Definitive" edition bullshyt the only viable option for anyone wanting to replay these games. Thank god my physical copies work to this day, but the current iteration of the Definitive edition isn't as bad unless you're a purist and even if you aren't...licensing is a bytch.

Nah. But they got way more from it than they should have, I'll give em that much. A "remake" on the levels of Capcom's recent remakes for RE/Onimusha or an updated version of the game like the Kiwami series for Yakuza might have moved the needle for those who didn't play but always heard good things about the 3 games but couldn't get over the 'old timey' controls or how 'dated' it is, but this wasn't even the case.
It's basically that AI Upscaling shyt and a tweak or two to the shooting. I'm already so locked in, in replaying the originals, I only played the definitive editions for Achievements and that's it.

:russ: Mannnnnn let’s be real, the dream of Rockstar giving the PS2 era GTAs. The Capcom REmake or the Master Chief Collection treatment will never happen. Especially in-house, that shyt would take another decade to make. I just wanted the trilogy with quality of life improvements, a stable 60fps, decent graphics, and the same atmosphere/charm as the OGs. But then again, they have mods for this including resorting the old OSTs. The good news is that Rockstar dropped Grove Street Games and bought the team that ported RDR1. They recently came out and said they’re remastering more old Rockstar IPs.
Rockstar might be looking to make more Remasters, according to job listing

>You will be working as part of a small but experienced team, ideally taking responsibility for **one or more classic game technology areas...**

There's literally no point in a remaster right now. Like, why would anyone want a remaster of an old GTA game when a newly anticipated GTA game is coming out this year? It's been 13 years lol. This should've been a thing a few years ago at the earliest. Remaster other Rockstar games like Bully and Max Payne 3.
