Graphic brehs: what do you think of Gimp?

For some reason, my bootlegged copy of Photoshop stopped working ( ), so I downloaded Gimp, but I haven't used it yet. How does it compare to PS? How much is sacrificed due to the fact that it's a free program? Is there any drop in quality at all?

I don't about GIMP but if I was you I would stick with Photoshop if you are a serious designer. If this is just casual for fun shyt... fukk it, do you

I've never used Photoshop so I can't comment on specific differences, but despite being free, GIMP is a very high quality program and can probably do almost everything if not everything that Photoshop can. You can also use Plugins for whatever features aren't included.
