Random thought but does Kurt Angle have the GOAT opponent match up resume? Not in terms of the actual match quality but I think he has faced off against the absolute best opponents. Of course he missed older greats, newer stars and people around the world but still.

I was going to make a case for Brock, Rock or Taker but Kurt had the luxury of going to TNA. Dude battled..

Brock
Rock
Taker
Hogan
Austin
Hhh
Mick
Sting
AJ Styles
Joe
Nakamura
Daniels
Edge
Eddie
Benoit
Cena
Hbk
Jericho
Rey
Booker
Flair
Rvd
Desmond wolfe

Im sure theres more. I think Punk and Goldberg are his two biggest omissions. Thats an insane resume.

I got bored naming guys, I Know I've missed A LOT of guys and guys from japan and mexico. the thing is Flair faced guys who where also champions in their territories also, like Backlund, Lawler, Bockwinkel, etc.

Flair was the ideal "World Champion"
