Anytime people start talking about

"oh that's a great young core!"

"That's a team of the future!"

"They're just a couple years away!"

I start thinking back to your Blazers team man.:to: The quintessential cautionary tale when it comes to that narrative

Roy, Oden, LaMarcus, Rudy Fernandez, Batum, a couple other mf'ers i cant' remember off top.

And then the reup with LaMarcus, Lillard, Wesley Matthews and i aint gon pretend like i remember all them others either, but yall kicked our ass in round 1 a few years ago because of dumbass Parsons, and Lin and Harden :francis: I remember that :francis:

But i digress. It's situations like yalls that make me look at Philly like :patrice:

Oregon just has shyt luck when it comes to basketball (Sam Bowie) and people treat us like a farm team.

I don't know about Philly, but the Blazers had been building a core for years, gave us an identity, nobody wanted to come and play here because we always sold out.

Then Paul Allen bought the team, changed the arena name from "The Rose Garden" to "The Moda Center" (because Paul Allen needs more money) and shyt hasn't been the same.

He canned our starting five, but even worse than that, he bushed our commentators. Like, I grew up listening to these "Mike and Mike" dudes, then out of nowhere he fires them.

shyt's fukked too, because Mike Rice is a legendary game commentator. In fact, he's the only nba commentator in history to be ejected from a game by a ref :russ: so it's really fukked how they not only fired him, but blindsided both those guys without any respect.

Then I had to watch guys like Allen Crabbe, Meyers Leonard, and Mason Plumlee for that entire year after :stopitslime:

Man between them kings, the weed blazers, and the bulls with rose before the first knee injury,

Man I felt like we were about to turn the corner with d rose:to::deadrose:

The kings got fukked by the Lakers lore, it literally felt like the league didn’t want them boys in the chip

The blazers as good as they were, were their own worst enemies, but I know Portland had to be rocking with them nikkas all there
