I honestly wouldn't have a problem with that because I'm not a fan of Jones and his 40% K rate. Sell high while we still can
I'm in lockstep with you here. I was of the belief that BOTH Grisham and Bellinger can't be back, but if one of them came back, then one of Dominguez/Jones has to go too (personally I woulda let both Grisham and Bellinger walk, but I totally get it with Jones).

Now if they wanted to go get Kwan, they can do it but now at Bellinger's expense and with the idea that if we keep Jones, he'll be a 26 year old rookie in CF.

I hate this move but I blame Cashman more for putting the offer out there. $22 million is a lot of change for a guy whose stats say he's still a platoon player.
the problem the Yankees have is that if they could, they'd platoon everyone but Judge and Volpe because the numbers are law to them. If they can find better every day guys, that's much less of a hassle in the long run.

Wouldn’t shock me if they try to trade both and some pitching depth to the Tigers for Skubal.
they're not going after Skubal.

Even if it would be cool to have Skubal, the amount of money they've put into the rotation is insane already. Going after Michael King I can see. Trading Gil/Warren for something major I can see too. But the offense is too unreliable in big spots to be cool with running it back while trying to fortify what should be our strongest team aspect.
