Do you believe a steady evolutionary path can be drawn from (what you percieve as) the Golden Era of HipHop, to it's current incarnation?


Or did the style/sound/attitude of the genre drastically change overnight?

Nah im playin was born in the 80"s so when the 90's came my old nikkaz would always tell me the 80's were better than the 90's:manny:

The two eras were at least comparable in quality. 80s had Kool G Rap and Big Daddy Kane, 90s had Nas and Jay-Z.

Nobody in their right mind was arguing that the 80s is better than the 90s, outside of a handful of rappers.

This is a common fallacy to promote the "every generation complains!" bullshyt angle.

Nobody in their right mind was arguing that the 80s is better than the 90s, outside of a handful of rappers.

This is a common fallacy to promote the "every generation complains!" bullshyt angle.

We ain't talking about rappers we're talking about fans. By your logic these young rappers should be talking about it was better in the 90s....and they obviously don't.
