that was a bad deal back then.
That was right at the transition of bowl CRT tvs to flat face CRTs.

How I know that is BS though Is floor models were the sign of an elite tv back then.

You would either have a heavy ass floor model CRT that costs thousands or a top of the line rear projection tv that was also a floor model.

I see so many flat screens laying on the side of the street. It fukks me up because I remember when they first dropped and how expensive they were. Driving around and seeing 60" flat screens laying outside like nothing is crazy. But the only reason I feel that way is because I remember what was....
When I go to a Walmart or Target and see 60" 4k smart tv's going for $300 my jaw drops every time. No matter how ubiquitous flat screens become I will always see them as luxury items.

I still have my pop's sanyo TV from 1985. Actually we still using it up untill like 2011. It probably still works but it's collecting dust now.

And no way in hell she could afford 5k on a TV. We were broke AF. Im thinking he got scammed
