I agree that unless you talk about it, this isn't something you should even begin to think of doing. It puts way too much pressure on the woman and if she turns it down then SHE is the one (not rightly so) who looks bad. It's just like those old Ricki Lake shows where a chick would bring a coworker on the show and "surprise" him by saying she has a crush on him and wants them to be together. Whenever dude would be like "nah" or not saying anything at all, you get the talk show host and the rest of the audience booing and hurling insults, while some of them who say yes do so under coercion.

I'm not hating at all. Each to their own and I hope this couple have lotsa beautiful black babies and all that, but personally I'm not jumping off roofs and somersaulting through windows in front of people over something that in my opinion should simply be a private matter. :ld:

I mean, it clearly was that serious if you had to harmonize your love for her :ld:. How you gonna feel if the marriage doesn't last and you had to do some soft shoe for her to say yes.

shyt like this is why marriages don't actually last, you gotta keep one upping yourself or else she gonna be on that "the spark is gone" shyt 10 years from now:russ: The most successful marriages in the world are arranged ones, they ain't bustin out the harmonica and tuning fork prior to getting hitched. All that extra shyt is corny, either you love me and want to be with me for the rest of your life or you don't.

well it didn't last :russ: for dumb shyt I did. I wasn't ready to really commit.
