Only 17 miles up is the edge of outer space ?

17km is the equatorial tropopause (that's the altitude above the equator at which the atmospheric temperature gradient starts to invert). You're not in "outer space" (100km/160 miles) at point, but it definitely isn't Earth like we know it on the ground. Maybe that was the intention?

What would be the reason a flat Earther or any scientist that wants to disprove conventional thought hasn't gone up and exposed the Earth as flat? There has to be a lot of fame and money if this can be proven.

I wouid say that they know that the DoD sends jamming codes through the GPS network to disrupt the streams and track the flat-earthers to kill them off for trying to reveal the truth...

Unless it’s been changed the words accompanying the vid said 17 miles and those words appeared at a point that could likely be the Karman line ... and that line is waaaay more than 17 miles up .
