Gym brehs: Today I did “dips” for the first time ever and I loved it.

I cannot stop brehs :noah:

Seeing yourself become stronger is a great feeling. 🙏🏽

Clothes fitting better. Waking up feeling like a toddler. Summer has been challenging because it’s my favorite time of the year so I’ve been drinking and partying a little bit more than usual but it’s almost over. I’m never going byke :noah:

I rarely did dips when I first started going to the gym. I stuck to the bench press, incline dumbbell chest press and using the cable crossovers.

While that gave me a good foundation, my chest really developed when I started using weighted dips. I felt silly for avoiding it for so long. Those dips made my chest explode (:dame:) within a month.

I still do those other exercises but weighted dips are the GOAT.

They're fun - mine were not weighted though.

My trainer did them with a kettlebell though.

Either way is fine. Eventually, your triceps will get used to your own weight when you dip, so as long as you add weights in some way, you’ll continue to see progression.

I know this is a dumb question, but - how do you add weights to your dips? Like, do you attach the weights to yourself somehow?
