Gym muscle vs. job / manual labor muscle

If I wasn't active in the gym, there were some manual labor jobs I would struggle at.

Worked at one warehouse that sold kitchen appliances to like restaurants.. only 1 person could last more than a week and he was still there when I left for an IT role.

Where is the muscle? plus the short guy does this every day so his muscles is built for this over time and also he is short.

:russ:This thread is like those stupid ass "Calesthenics >>>>> Weight lifting" threads. No, manual labor muscle is not stronger, it's specific. If I swing a hammer all day, the specific task of swinging and hitting a target I should be great at. Same with if you squat and pick up heavy rocks all day. You will have basically done atlas stone training, something most lifters don't do.

In this case, white dude chose the worst grip for deadlifting which is the double-under. The other cat used a mix grip which was 100% the reason he was able to move the object. If the white guy actually did it that way, he would have been just fine.
