Hit an alum to do an informational interview last month, then she introduced me to someone on her team, they had an opening coming up this month, but before they posted it to the net, I had spoken (literally just chatted) with everyone on the team, i just landed my dream job (for the moment) without having to do a real interview and before they even thought about looking at a pool of candidates, that white privilege is real

Nah, but on the real, just wanted to reinforce what everyone says, reach out to your network, and if your network is weak, expand it ASAP.
