Had prime azaelia banks been sane and a lil more pop do you think she could’ve been near sza in terms of mainstream appeal and popularity

I mean she always seemed like one of the few artist that could be massively commercially and artistically profound in the 2010s, it’s sad she went out the way she did, she was really good looking in a “high class way” and talented too, she even kept it really real sometimes, but yeah, she could’ve been something more

Nah. Was never a fan of her aesthetic and I tend to have a keen ear for great craft. People overrate that club kid vibe she had...plenty of people have tried it over time and its basically still niche. But also, major reason why sza is, is TDE no matter how hard people wanna be in denial about their success.
but even though now that TDE has a similar rapper in Doechii, I still don't see her in sza lane. But she's pretty major for a new artist so far

Absolutely. Bey even tried her lane with her last album and can't touch anything Azealia made.

Only reason Azealia is even partially relevant today is because of the LGBT community.
Fax but if us black folks had been more open to her type of genre, that could’ve put the battery in her back to really go mainstream and really be a judge influencer, especially amongst Bw unlike the cardi b of the world
