For those who are familiar with my font, I was a pretty active participant here in the Coliseum then I fell all the way off. Well, the reason being was I realized that I was developing an unhealthy emotional relationship with sports that was showing up in every aspect of my personal life...... and it should never be that serious, but it was getting to that point, so I stepped back. I first began to realize this after I attended my first ever OU football game vs Texas Tech how crazy emotional I was(and that game was up and down too, so that played a factor). In addition, some of the things I was posting on message boards were borderline sociopathic. This behavior has been happening for a while and has been progressing ever since. I needed to detox. No OU, No LA Lakers, No Thunder, no St. Louis Rams, no Barcelona, No Arsenal, no Sportscenter, no College Football/NFL Preview/Review shows..... nothing.
I will post sparingly post here and there but as far as being a stat and commentary geek, getting into arguments over MJ v Kobe v LeBron or OU and their BCS national championship/Bowl Game aspirations, those days are over. When the teams I mentioned play, whether win or lose, I'll still watch, root for them and rep proudly.
It's not that serious anymore..... and I realize that.
