It's definitely one of the greats. I started watching it not knowing what to expect, and I was hooked in just a few episodes. It's got humor, plot, characters, well-animated action scenes, and nothing too over-the-top (no fireballs or flaming punches or anything.)

I watched this/read the manga until I got tired of it, shyt seemed like it was never gonna end and Ippo was never gonna lose again and the Ippo/Miyata fight is about as far off as the Guts/Griffith rematch

Plus the episode with the black boxer was racist as hell, fukk them japs for that
