Landlords exposed themselves as greedy bloodsuckers during the pandemic. I remember when a 3 bedroom apartment was only $625 a month in the nice parts of ATL.
Man if you got a 700 dollar apartment you was doing something lol. It’s crazy how far things have changed

Yep, and that was less than 15 years ago. Even in the early 2010's, rent in most cities outside the northeast was cheap.

Now these corporate landlords and the greedy mom and pop landlords that try their best impersonation of corporate landlords, are putting up ridiculous requirements for living in a BASIC spot. It's almost like applying for a mortgage in a nice neighborhood nowadays.

Glad that these scammers getting random people with under-the-table cash esrning jobs a place to live. A lot of those cash only jobs are paying A LOT MORE than the stereotypical 9 to 5 nowadays.

Part of it is because the requirements are stupid.

If a person had a postive credit history, a good score and thousands of dollars sittting around for move in they’d be buying not renting :beli:

Was helping my daughter try to find an apartment and that shyt was stupid. She’s 20 with no credit/leasing history and no apartment in a decent neighborhood would accept her.

I just had to put the application in my name to get her a spot.

I guess we are part of the statistic :manny:

It's cheaper to have a mortgage now than rent a decent apt.

My cousin paying for a 3 bdrm apt what I pay for my 5 bdrm house. Smh

Is 2000 a month hard to believe for downtown ATL?

I looked up the apartment my wife and I first lived in NE Ohio ( 2 bed, 2 bath ) and it's going for almost 1500 a month now ( more than my current mortgage now :mjlol:)

It was nothing special and have to think ATL more $$$ than here

It’s so terrible smh. It’s just an apartment. You’ll just kick that person out and move another person in. It shouldn’t be that serious
