Aside from the unethicalness of Hannity and how he used his media power to push his own agenda and increase his wealth, I'd love to know how exactly he pulled this off and what grants, loans, and laws he used to get it.

This is beyond ridiculous. Most large real estate companies operate under shells, subsidiaries, etc.

The issue here is his HUD money and his non-declaration of conflicts of interest on his show.

Exactly. In fact, you'd be an idiot to buy them personally as you'd be opening yourself up to all kinds of unnecessary liability.

They said some of the homes were multi million dollar properties - that is going to be the true scandal in all of this. I'm willing to bet he purchased some of these for his own use. Most of these government backed programs have very strict rules regarding how properties purchased utilizing gov't programs can be used - quite often the property must be your primary residence. He was probably buying vacation properties and renting them under false pretenses.
