I always was a fan of this Bolani quote which I will paraphrase because I cant be bothered to flip through 900 pages at 8:30 in the morning.
He basically makes the comparison that...The pursuit of happiness is like the pedals on an automobile. You can chase it fervently by pressing the accelerator to the floor and slow down that pursuit with the break pedal. When life gets overwhelming you can always press in the clutch and just enjoy the moment.
