I don't care what you nikkas think about these two, they have their place in hip-hop as much as anyone else does.

Some of my favorites. This didn't start in the late 80's. Flash, Bam, and Herc were setting the foundation for what they are still doing with the beats and Melle, Moe Dee, Spoonie, etc were all ahead of their time.

and the man that started it all

Rapmania
‘Rapmania’ was done as a 15-year anniversary of the ‘birth’ of Hip Hop and was aired on Pay-Per-View.
Perfomers such as Run-DMC, Kane, 3rd bass, LL, Epmd, Slick Rick, Eric B and Rakim, Kurtis Blow, Biz Mark, Ice T and many others.

I still have this event on VHS from the day it aired. (1990)
