Happy Antiguan Independence Day!

Today marks the 33rd year that Antigua has been an independent nation. I happened to be there last year for the 32nd year celebration (see here: http://www.thecoli.com/posts/6235938/). The video above (not mine) was taken from the same event. I'm still trying to learn more about my family's native island (my mom and a few of her sisters came to America a few years before Antigua became independent), so it was a nice experience to see it in person.

Any other people here of Antigua descent other than @Walt?

Wifey is from Antigua, most of her fam still out there...we go every year for Carnival (first weekend and Monday in Aug)

I got a lot of pics from Carnival, Devil's Bridge, Nelson's Dockyard, Shirley's Heights, English Harbour, Long Bay beach, etc....Wifey took me to so many different beaches, all dope in their own right...you name it, I prob seen it on that island....so tiny but beautiful

Every time we go it's usually summer and scheduled around Carnival....and every time we there we keep hearing about Sailing Week and we stay bullshyttin like "yea we def coming for that next year".....and it never happens, we end up in P.R. or D.R. or Jamaica or some shyt

You ever been to the Antiguan consulate near the UN? They're super friendly there and they appreciate people coming out to see them
