Hall of Fame running back Emmitt Smith is 46 years old today.

The NFL's career leading rusher ran for 18,355 yards over 13 years.
Smith is also the career leader in Rushing Touchdowns with 164.

If you're a Cowboys fan (personally, I'm not), Emmitt Smith brings back great memories of those powerhouse teams in the 1990s.

I kinda felt bad that upon hearing of Emmitt's birthday, my 1st thought wasn't "congratulations"...but rather..."I hope he doesn't have CTE"

Barry was great, but how do we know he wouldn't have torn his ACL or broken his ankle?

People like to argue about what Barry Sanders could have done, but all we can judge is what he actually did do.
And he retired.

Smith kept playing and was largely injury-free.

It just is what it is.
