Vince wanted the top guy to eventually age out gracefully and then stick around as an ambassador. He wanted it for decades. Bruno fell out with them after the expansion (he didnt make peace with them til HHH brokered it, clap for JeanPaul for that). Hulkkk went to WCW, then came bacc, then went to TNA, then came bacc, then got exposed. Austin had his problems with them and beating women. HitGOAT was screwed by jealous gayboys and a panicking, losing Vince, and then kicked in the head by an untalented roided up freak. Dwayne getting that Hollywood money and dont need them
