Just came back from seeing Selma today and probably stop by the MLK memorial tomorrow. I hate the fact that a lot of these do nothing negros want are attempting to shyt on Dr. King's name. The man was such a threat to white supremacy that he had the federal government after him.

That's one of our giants and I thank him for sacrificing his life for his people. Say what you want about him, but no one can deny that Dr. King LOVED black people unconditionally. Despite his critics, he never said a negative word about another black person, and I give him props for that.

I just wish we stopped using the cac version of Dr. King (some scared, passive black man who would take an ass whopping no matter what) and realize that the man was on the verge of attempting to get us reparations before he was assassinated. He went from getting us Civil Rights, to Voting Rights, and was trying to push the Poor People's Campaign and wanted to take it from Civil Rights to Human Rights and from protests to militancy.

elaborate on this......

Because even Malcolm X said that Corretta has to argue with MLK to get him to turn up a little bit.

I respect MLK.......... but I don't know too much about him going towards militancy or to human rights.

mainly he pushed civil rights..... which is strange because hispanics push hispanic rights, gays successfully push gay rights, chinese used to have china man rights, women have women rights...

but we pushed 'civil rights'...... Why didn't we say BLACK rights? let me know when MLK was going to be militant ( not that i think he should have been........ but I'm just curious)

I remember a few months ago when it was a lot of MLK bashing here on the Coli and I had a convo w/ some OG blood out here and he put it in terms for me how REAL bruh was....

Over a L we chopping game and he like my nikka. Before MLK we was farmers...broke... We built this mf and was receiving no credit. I salute MLK. I think it's easy to bash him because his work wasn't finished and the peices were/haven't been fully picked up & put back together. To give your life is always the ultimate. But it's ironic because now he's IMMORTAL. nikkas ain't never let this memory die. Honorary shoutout to Malcolm too. Every YING needs it's YANG

:blessed:
