There's really no "let's see" to it.There's a disingenuous approach to evaluating the trade which is frequently employed, which is to pretend that somehow the unforeseeable bad luck of injury should've somehow been taken into account by Thunder management. Steven Adams has developed into a viable center, Serge is more valuable to that team than a third ball-dominant perimeter player would've been, and if not for injuries the Thunder's roster would be beastly.
This is probably the worst rationalization against the trade ever recorded, which is saying a lot.
Is rationalization a substitute for the word true?
How many times did Houston make the playoffs leading up to the Harden trade?
How many times did Houston make the playoffs after the Harden trade?
How many times did OKC play Houston in the playoffs before the Harden trade? If the answer is greater than 0, did somebody from OKC get a serious injury?
How man times did OKC play Houston in the playoffs after the Harden trade? If the answer is greater than 0, did somebody from OKC get a serious injury?
How many injuries did the OKC team suffer through before Westbrook got hurt in the Houston series? How many injuries did OKC team suffer through after Westbrook got hurt in the Houston series?
Make trades that create playoffs teams out of thin air brehs...
Serge is more valuable? How...he doesn't even play and when he does he is a stretch 4 that only shoots the ball when he is wide open...all this talk about Howard post moves...does Serge even have one...go ahead post a clip of serge shooting a hook or a drop step...or anything that resembles a post move...
I swear half this board must work for the Thunder organization...it is a bad trade that literally get's worse and worse every fukking year...every year since the trade the thunder have gotten worse...every year since the trade houston has gotten better...
Thunder literally was going to the finals with harden and haven't been back since without him...Houston was literally not even making the playoffs without Harden and they now in the second round with him being an MVP candidate...
But somehow no one saw this coming...except for all the people who...saw this coming
