I was just talking about this. That's why I had to thank HB. Had he signed, Cavs would still be champs.
Deal worked out great for both sides. He got paid and a bigger role and y'all got a top 3 player arguably the top baller.

He got his ring and wanted to get paid
He didn't show up in the 16 finals and that's why KD is with the team now.
Hope he enjoys the rest of his career in mediocrity

Crazy how so many things had to go right(and wrong) for the Warriors to get KD

Because in a salary cap'd league there's no way something that crazy should ever happen.

If a team has the back-to-back MVP, the Finals MVP, and two other All-NBA players, they should NOT have enough salary cap space to sign another MVP on top of it.

And a starting center on top of that too, just for shyts and giggles.

It was just crazy that there was the opportunity for it to go down that way.

That's just one more crazy coincidence that worked out. Because if Draymond hadn't signed a contract before his value skyrocketed, Curry hadn't kept getting hurt and therefore signed a contract for a pittance, Barnes hadn't turned down Golden State's contract offer for more money later, and Durant hadn't blown that 3-1 lead and gotten fed up with Westbrook, then they still wouldn't have had the money or the opportunity to add an MVP to what was already a "Death Lineup", cap jump or not.

The shyt that had to go down to make a team with that much talent..... :wow:
