While there has been some doubt on whether or not the actors from the original Star Wars trilogy would be making an appearance in Disney's new trilogy, a new report out suggest that Harrison Ford will be coming back as Han Solo.

Jake "WaylonJones" Lester - 2/15/2013 Disney is moving full steam ahead with all things Star Wars. Between the new trilogy and a batch of stand alone film, in the upcoming years there will be no escaping the brand. When it comes to the new trilogy, lots of speculation has been made about whether or not Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, or Harrison Ford would be reprising their roles as Leia, Luke, and Han respectively. This morning, however, we have the answer to at least one of those. Latino Review is reporting that Harrison Ford will return for Disney's next Star Wars Saga.

In the past Ford has said he would be open to the idea of returning to the Star Wars universe. With him signing on, which LR is saying that it's a pretty big deal and would seem to indicated it's not a a small role, it could likely mean that Fisher, and Hamill might not be too far behind. However, there has been no word on them as of yet, so keep your fingers crossed.

Am I the only person who doesn't care to see the cast from the original trilogy in the next Star Wars movie? I really don't need to see Mark Hamill & especially Carrie Fisher on screen anymore with how they look now. I just saw Harrison Ford the other day in the 2010 J.J. Abrams produced movie "Morning Glory" and he is old as shyt now.

Any continuation of Star Wars would logically involve the main three (Luke, Han, Leia) in some capacity. I honestly don't understand how this would be shocking news. Luke presumably would be the one to continue on the Jedi tradition and start a new academy. Han and Leia would be married and involved and on some capacity. I'm not saying they'd have to be a focal point of the new trilogy but they'd be needed to fulfill the "changing of the guard" duty for the first film at least.

Harrison Ford was in good enough shape to reprise Indiana Jones a couple years ago (even though the movie was trash, Harrison himself looked alright) so it shouldn't be an issue

Star Wars is such a huge universe its more about the world than the characters to me....do they really think a movie's gonna flop just cause it doesn't feature the same 3-4 main characters? Seems like a huge waste of having the Star Wars universe and following the same stories over and over. Just look at KOTOR....story was ill and that was a videogame

if they do it right, bridge it right, and kill off these three at some point during 7 or 8, than its fine, just as long as the new movies are not centered around the three.....

Exactly, it's called "EPISODE VII" for a reason. You can't call it that and it not deal with the original cast. Makes no sense. If you shoot it way into the future people wouldn't go for it. You have to have the old cast past the torch to the new cast. I don't care if Carrie and Mark are fat and out of shape cause the storyline will obviously be 30 years into the future. Harrison looked ok in Indy 4. I don't care what anyone says, seeing an Older Jedi Master Luke Skywalker has been a dream of mines since being a kid in the 80's. Alec Gunniess who played an older Obi Wan was 63 years old in 77 when "Star Wars" came out. Mark Hamill will be 63 years old in 2015 when "Episode VII" comes out. Full circle people. With JJ Abrams Directing and bringing the original cast back this movie is going to break records:
