the violence in central america is an aftermath of the horribly brutal civil wars they had there. basically, the state sponsored death squats who murdered left wing activists, guerilleros and indigenous people. when these wars were over, the chicken came home to roost, because the populations was used to violence and human life had become cheap. in addition, drug money had been used to finance these wars, and the death squads had to go and find something else to do, so many of them went into the drug trade full time. the wars also displaced a lot of poor people from the countryside, wo went to the bigger cities without any real source of income. these people were taught how to form gangs by refugees deported from the us, who adopted gangbanging after they fled to california during the civil wars. all of this created a mix that lead to the situation right now. as a sidenote, the zetas in mexico were an elite squad that got trained by a guatemalan elite squad. the style of communicating through violence they are using was also employed during the civil wars in central america, so you can imagine what an impact this made on the population affected by it.

Yeah I'm not really worried. I'll be with my business school. But it's still crazy to know the violence surrounding all the safe areas we'll be going to.

 A lot of these fine gentleman were trained in the good ol' us of a in Georgia. I think the original Z's were trained in the states, but when they needed more soldiers and training for new recruits, they sought the guatamalans.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
East Palo Alto had a similar average in 1992

And in 1992, Cities with populations in the millions in Latin America were hitting nearly 400 per 100,000. A city like East Palo Alto of 24,000 with 42 murders is going to have a high rate, I'm not necessarily going to feel unsafe going there, where as a city of 430,000 with 1,500 murders will have me like :whoa:

You simply cannot compare the violence in the US to the violence in Latin America, Honduras as a country of 8 million has a murder rate higher than the worst cities in the US.
