I'd imagine in these situations that they had been slowly putting together his demise. Probably positioned themselves financially so that they wouldn't take a hit, gathered all the info from the girls and had someone drop the bomb. That's assuming this was someone connected to Hollywood. But from how this just dropped it has to be someone connected to Hollywood who either had more money or has a gang of friends with more money who were willing to oust him. I'm guessing in situations like this is takes a joint effort to bring a guy like that down.
