Over Kanye?

Ross might not even drop this year.

Def Jam is slacking off. They have back in the 90s gangsta rap era, but this situation that they are in is even worse. If they keep up with the flops and under performing albums, their doors may shut down by the end of 2014.

Rihanna is on Def Jam, she could single handily keep Def Jam a float...

I swear every album thread everyone is hoping someone bricks...then we complain hip hop can't sell, it's not promoted, no one is putting money behind it, it's lost it's credibility, cacs are taking over, etc etc. sometimes it's funny such as the big Sean "hate" but other times, I'm like damn, who do y'all want to see succeed?

Church.

LOL He is the face of party shyt this year. If he flops or underperform, then he will end to domination of club music on the mainstream level. Outside of him, What other marginally talented rapper is selling these days, anyway?
You've been pushing this unrealistic angle for months now. I don't even understand why. But I guess some people live this Hip Hop ish and feel like rappers like this are somehow doing a disservice to the culture. Hip Hop at its peak musically always had balance. If the Kendrick's of the world are selling again, there is nothing wrong with guys like 2Chainz making club anthems. There will never be a "death" of party songs on any level worldwide. Why do you think Florida is filthy rich, no one cares how many units he pushes...

For years, the radio has been flooded with the same rappers on the same beats, and now in 2013, when these "boring" young lyrical rappers are getting legit burn and selling for the first time in several years, people want to complain :dead: . Party rap has to be limited to keep impact, or else we will have another summer 2013 where there was no official club banger outside of Jigga. Oversaturation of bullshyt party raps is why this genre is damn near gone in terms of integrity.

First Sean and now 2 Chainz looks like he's catching a brick. I'm actually a fan of those two but idk what Def Jam is doing over there.

Maybe they'll work him like an album back in the day. Drop the joint, see which songs resonate and push some major singles from there moving forward and continue to support the album even after it has dropped.

His first album was a slow burner so :yeshrug:
chainz aint that type of artist. he either has hits or he don't and good luck on depending on a label in 2013 working a project that sells less than 100k
