Has a promoter ever NOT pushed their children over more deserving talent?

Tbh people do that with any business that has family working it.:ld:

i could see putting your kids on the show, but putting them in the main event is just shameless. doesn't matter if they're your kids. the fact that so many promoter's kids ended up being champions and main eventers just shows me that none of these guys are truly about business like they say they are. deep down they're all a bunch of marks, just for themselves.

i am okay with shane and stephanie being apart of the show, just not to the degree in which they are used.

Shane is the exception to the rule, he's actually a better wrassler than almost everyone on the roster and actually is believable... he towers over Kevin Owens who looks like a typical cac pig

Nah it's seen less nowadays because there's less promotions but during the territory era, every promoter's son either had a top spot in management or on the card.

what is shane's character? regular middle aged guy who's in decent shape for his age? that is your pretend play fighter? we're supposed to believe that he's some big bad tough guy that could handle himself against world class athletes?

also... believable?? have you seen his punches?

if he weren't vince's son how would you justify his current position on the show?

embarrassing that this is what passes for a play fighter while standing next to the GM :russ:

Shane's character and background has been established and well documented on TV for years dating back to the 90's, penned by GOATsso. All we know about Owens is that he's some fat guy who is too ashamed to play fight without his shirt on... and he always feels disrespected :skip:

well shane wrestles with his shirt on too. he's not exactly in professional wrestler shape either. when someone says professional wrestler you don't exactly think richard gere in air jordans.

but at least KO can cut a promo and convince you that he's a pretend tough guy, can shane do that? can shane go on the road and wrestle 300 times a year?

would shane have made it in the same environment as KO?

in a perfect world shane would be getting squashed by KO and putting him over, not the other way around.

There is a difference between wearing a tight tee to show off your physique and wearing a loose tank to hide your gut, don't play dumb

Shane is also a top 3 promo today, behind Kang and Stephanie, KO just isn't believable on any level

shane mcmahon wrestles in a baseball jersey and sweatpants. he looks more like the dads ordering the show than the world class athletes he's supposed to be going up against.

the fact that shane can just show up and establish himself as an equal against the rest of the roster implies that being a WWE superstar ain't shyt.

shane would actually be MORE OVER if he carried himself as the scrappy underdog who has no business being in the ring but gets by on pure heart and passion. he should be getting SQUASHED in these matches and then build up to the miracle spot. beyond that he should be establishing that WWE wrestlers are the cream of the crop and that not just anbody can step in the ring. he should be getting his ass kicked.

Vince Sr. wouldn't even let Jr. get in the ring. Didn't have a match until he was 54. Knocked out Ken Shamrock.:russ:

Being a good worker doesn't mean doing flippy shyt, it's about entertaining the crowd and Shane is steady with the classics. Shane had a better match with AJ than Owens and they had countless matches to build chemistry
