Has a reason ever been given for why WWE got rid of KOTR?

its funny he hates them, but its the easiest way to create story lines and and a good way to get every wrestler on the shows

Plus being the fact WWE does MITB now it takes care of the situation.

Matter of fact. If the E was smart, they’d bring back TV title and the Hardcore title.

So many guys here have absolutely NOTHING to do. It’s like mainly 1 or 2 minor feuds with no title rewards.

Ehhh, not the hardcore title. Totally different era now. But I'm iffy on bringing back/creating any other titles cause they have too many in the first place. UK title? I mean...other than Dunne and Bate, who else is even in that division?? Two women's titles? When each brand basically just rotates piling all the women in 4-5 way matches?? Don't care for more titles, there should just be more emphasis on caring about the ones they already have.

UK title is BS for us Americans cause we don’t know enough UK wrestlers, wouldn’t have a connection with them and wouldn’t give a fukk plus why would we care about a title that’s not even gonna be defended in the UK 98% of the time. And why would an America’s really want to be a UK champ working for a US company. So that’s the only reason “that” doesn’t work.

TV title is different, we all grew up with that..... well those of us that ain’t 20 and can afford to support ourselves.

Yea I don’t have faith in them either...... but I figure it would be something more meaningful to do other than every week seeing Drifter take on either TO or Apollo for no reason

Bringing back a TV title is probably the most outdated idea I see people bring up regularly. The TV title was barely that important when it was around 20 years ago. It just seemed like another title that WCW didn't discontinue because it used to mean something when they started it in the 70s/80s. That'd be like bringing back the European title- another belt for someone to hold because they couldn't be IC, US, Universal, or WWE champ. All they really need are the belts they have now.

KOTR would be a fun thing to watch, so I wouldn't be against it coming back now that they can do it and not have to sweat what the PPV buyrates would be like. It'd also work now that they've split the brands again and they could make it one of the few times a year where Raw guys wrestle SD guys.

Well that explains the utter lack of them over the decades in the WWE. Meanwhile New Japan has at least 6 major tournaments a year and most of them are looked at as prestigious to a lot of fans worldwide and Dave Melter-type reporters while at the same time elevating various wrestlers and setting up future feuds and ppv cards.

Tv title matches on worldwide, Saturday night and Sunday main event say otherwise.

unify the cruiserweight and womens' titles

bring back the WBF and put Roman over everybody, and he doesn't ever take off the corset

They really need to make Night of Champions a cross brand PPV. World, Universal, IC, US, Raw and Smack tag, Raw and Smack womens, Cruiser. 8 matches there. Could throw UK or NXT as a preshow
